November 2018 Group Hug
Put down that leftover Halloween candy; it's time for a new Hug! I'm excited to announce that this month we'll be Hugging the families of the Ronald McDonald House.
Because the families will receive our Hugs in early December, I'm asking everyone to make a Christmas card. **Your Attention Please** We have some Dos and Don'ts to follow. The Ronald McDonald House requests that we:
DON'T- put any Scripture in/on the cards.
DON'T- talk about the child's illness, the rough ti

August 2018 Group Hug
It's already August, and time for another Group Hug. This month we'll be Hugging Christin & John. They had a house fire in June and lost everything. The night of the fire, Ivy (2 1/2) passed away. A few days later, they lost John Ross (4), and on July 22nd Ireland (7) died. A memorial service was held on July 28th for all three children. Christin & John were burned and had smoke inhalation, but are expected to make a full recovery. Please pray for these heartbroken believers.
July 2018 Group Hug
It's July 1st Huggers! This month we'll be Hugging Brenda. She's a believer who is battling leukemia, sweets disease, and dying muscles. This is her second fight with cancer and she could really use our prayers and encouragement! UPDATE: Brenda has been put in hospice care. I'm going to ask that you get your Hugs in to me as soon as you possibly can so I can mail them out ASAP! #GroupHug

June 2018 Group Hug
Yay, its June! This month we'll be Hugging Aliza. She is 23 and had her first baby on April 22nd. About 2 weeks after little Heidi was born, they discovered she has Cystic Fibrosis. Aliza is now a single mom of a medically fragile infant, and has to make hard decisions about staying in Colorado or moving back "home" to North Carolina to be near her family. Please pray for Heidi's health, and that God will give Aliza peace, wisdom, and strength. #GroupHug
May 2018 Group Hug
Huggers, all hands on deck! This month we'll be Hugging Mandy. She has been battling cancer and had to quit her job when her treatments started. Her husband passed away in November leaving her with a teenage son. She has already had a relapse and is currently fighting an infection. Mandy is a believer in her late 30s. I'd like to stay away from "Get Well" sentiments and focus on encouragement. Please be praying for Mandy and her son, Bobby, this May. #GroupHug

Happy Easter, Huggers! This month we'll be Hugging Kim's mother-in-law, Terri. She’s now at the University of Chicago having just finished her 1st week of chemo. Myeloblastic leukemia is her official diagnosis. Terri has a very strong faith and is currently in good spirits. Let's pray that she stays in good spirits and keeps her faith strong. Please keep her treatment team and family in your prayers as well. #GroupHug

Hooray, it's March 1st. I don't know about you, but I am done with February! Time for a new Group Hug. This month we'll be Hugging Casey. Casey is an amazing 15 year old who was born with a heart defect called HLHS. After 3 open heart surgeries when she was very little, things were going pretty well. Then in September 2017 she had a set of significant setbacks and has been waiting for a heart transplant. Casey finds significant strength through her faith in God, and you alm

Hi Huggers! I don't know how it's already February 1st, but it is. This month we'll be Hugging Cathy. She has surgery planned for February 26 to have her sigmoid colon removed. Please pray that she stays healthy until the surgery, and that all goes well so she won't have to have an ostomy. She will be in the hospital for 3-5 days then home to recuperate. Every month Cathy faithfully shares her beautiful creations with Mailbox Hugs recipients. Let's send her lots of beautiful
January 2018 Group Hug
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas season. I have been visiting with family up in the cold and snow. It's been great, but I'm ready to go back to the warmth and sunshine in Texas. It's time to kick off the new year with a Group Hug. This month we'll be Hugging Bev. In November she discovered she has breast cancer and anemia. Since then she has had two blood transfusions and started taking chemo pills. Let's pray her through this, and make her some awesome paper Hugs!
November 2017 Group Hug
Hi Huggers! I hope everyone is coming down from yesterday's sugar high & can focus on a new Hug. Some of you are aware of my husband's bicycle ministry, Riders of Christ. This month some prayers are needed for a mountain biker named TJ. Tj was severely injured with a spinal/neck injury very early Saturday morning (Oct 14) at the 24hr Rocky Hill Roundup. He was on a downhill and face planted. His helmet saved his life and broke in half. He was rushed to the hospital responsive
